Dr. Julie Taylor, Ph.D. has been working in education for the past 30 years with student of all ages in grades pre-k through twelve. She has earned bachelor's degrees in Elementary Education and Spanish, a master's degree in Teaching English Language Learners, and a doctorate in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership with a focus on Reading, Language, and Literacy.

Julie has been an elementary teacher and a teacher of second language learners, a special education inclusion teacher, a reading interventionist, a literacy coach, and a district staff developer. She has also served as a practicum and mentor teacher, a student teaching supervisor, and a state reading certification instructor.

Over the past ten years, Julie has provided literacy professional development, training and coaching to educators, administrators, coaches and interventionists, leaders in non-profit organizations, and state education representatives across the United States and internationally.

During her years as a consultant, Julie has written literacy curriculum, reading intervention materials, and response to intervention manuals. She specializes in transforming the most up-to-date research into practical and effective instructional methods for teachers. She strives to implement systematic and supportive literacy frameworks in schools, a scaling-up model for large districts, and a train-the-trainer model for literacy coaches - all while aligning with the current science of reading approaches and literacy research.
